Schlemmin Forestry Office
Located in the north-west of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, the forestry office manages around 8,500 hectares of forest in one of the oldest nature reserves in the state.

Spring 2023 - Reforestation of former farmland
New forests are being created in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. In this video, we fly over an area of farmland that is being transformed into a future forest with chestnut, beech and English oak trees.

Hesse - Hessen Forst
Forestry office Königstein im Taunus
The Königstein forestry office is located on the outskirts of the city of Frankfurt and manages around 12,300 hectares of forest. It stretches from the southern side of the Taunus over the main ridge to the Hintertaunus with the highest elevation of the Großer Feldberg. The forestry office has taken over the species sponsorship for the tawny owl and the lance-leaved bellflower and promotes them with targeted measures. Due to the location of the forests, recreation is also very important. The forestry office is responsible for the Main-Taunus Arboretum, which offers visitors a unique natural experience of different forest landscapes.

Around the Brothers Grimm town of Hanau near Frankfurt am Main, the Parks Department lovingly looks after the town's own forests, some of which have been severely damaged by drought and bark beetles.

Alzenau, located in north-western Bavaria, is one of the largest municipal forest owners in Bavaria with a forest area of around 2,700 hectares. Almost 50% of the total area of Alzenau is covered with forest.

Stadtkyll forest district
The Stadtkyll forest district within the Gerolstein municipal association comprises the forests of the villages of Ormont, Kerschenbach, Scheid, Reuth and Stadtkyll in the western Volcanic Eifel near the border with North Rhine-Westphalia. Due to drought and bark beetles, help with reforestation and forest conversion to climate-stable mixed forests has become necessary.
